As I look at those who surround me, I see many others who do not feel the joy of living – many people go a whole day without even a small grin, and spend their days in anger, sadness and generally upset.

I remember feeling like that. Actually for a while I even thought it was normal to feel like that and I did not even conceive it could be different. Then a friend introduced me to Dianetics and it all changed.

Now I am a pretty happy person. I laugh a lot, smile a lot and I enjoy life.

I Feel Relieved!!

It seems that the interest in the field of mental health has peaked in the last few days due to a famous actress discussing her own issues on popular press and how she is seeking treatment. And the press is very busy interviewing this and that psychiatrist who advocated the use of drugs to treat this condition, at the same time explaining how there isn’t really a test of exam to confirm the diagnosis. So, how exactly do they determine one is bipolar?

Hm…

To me, it sounds scary.

To me, it is much better to get to the root of whatever mental health issue one has, rather than get medicated into mental numbness and oblivion.

To me, it is much better to do Dianetics.

I Felt Brighter Inside

OK, sometimes it happens that it all goes wrong. There are some days that are just like that. But what if the majority of the days feel like that? What if it feels like nothing ever goes the way you want, so much so that you almost expect things to go astray and it is almost a surprise when something does go the way it is supposed to… and then when that happens, when things to do right, you cannot not even enjoy it, no matter how hard you try?

Sounds familiar?

Do you feel like your emotions are dull, as if there was an invisible layer of something that prevents you from grabbing at reality? Like you see people enjoying life, their family, their friends, while you are watching from behind a screen?

Trust me, I know how you feel, cause I have been there (many many years ago, thank goodness) and I do not wich this feeling to my worst enemy. But I did get myself out of it, with the help of Dianetics.

What is the Real Potential of Your Mind?

Ok, so what would you think if I told you we have no idea of what is the real potential of our mind? And that there are situations that occurred in our past that are stored in our mind and actually control our reactions? Sounds familiar? Ever wondered why that particular sound makes you shiver and that particular smell makes you nauseous? Does it madden you not to be in full control of yourself? Kind of like a puppet, with someone else pulling your strings?

If you ended up here, it means you are looking for answers, and you came to the right place. I am not the one to give you answers, but I can tell you where I, and others, found mine. Read what this person had to say after taking part in the Dianetics Seminar at the Dianetics Foundation in Washington, DC:

“As I was going through my engram* I saw each part, felt each part, smelled, etc. I’ve never thought that this much information could be stored in the reactive mind**, affecting other events in my life. I Can Accept the Realities of Life

While skimming through the news today I came across a study published on the health section of Time.com (you can read it here) that claims that teenagers who listen to music are more likely to be depressed. And my first thought was “you gotta be kidding!” I do not know of any teenagers that do NOT like music. What does that mean? That every teenager you see with an iPod is likely to be depressed? Because some of the lyrics of the songs are sad? Oh, please!

What I do find scary is that the “solution” which is often publicized and marketed to people who have been alarmed by such statements is in the direction of anti-depressants, cure-all pills and other “remedies” that diminish one’s control over himself, among the least dangerous shortcomings. And that’s not right.

This is why I feel it is important for those people like me who have been exposed to a REAL solution, to do all I can to make it known, so that others can have the same successes many of us have had using Dianetics, like this person who attended a Dianetics Seminar at the Dianetics Foundation in Washington, DC :

I feel that in allowing my auditor to help me admit to the pain I feel and why I feel it, it helps me overcome the oppression of bottling up my emotions. * auditor: a person trained and qualified in applying DIANETICS and/or SCIENTOLOGY processes and procedures to individuals for their betterment – called an auditor because auditormeans, one who listens.

Like Taking a Deep Breath of Fresh Air

While watching TV the other night I noticed a lawyer-sponsored ad mentioning a possible link between pregnant women taking anti depressants and child birth defects. That got me thinking. Many of these women, had they known about Dianetics, would have probably never even gotten near an anti-depressant. So, I figure that if I can get the message out, then more and more people will be aware of Dianetics and will be able to see what it can do for them. so they don’t have to turn to drugs.

In the next few days, I will be posting some success stories regarding normal people’s experience with Dianetics. This is people like you and me, with their day-to-day life and experiences. See what they have to say, and feel free to post your comments and share your experience with Dianetics. And if you want to ask a question, go ahead. If I know the answer, I will tell you, or I will research where you can find the answer. And kindly phrase your questions in a civilized matter: religion is a sensitive matter and it can flare up tempers, but there is no need for that. Just ask plainly.

Dianetics 60th Anniversary Being Celebrated in Churches of Scientology Around the World

Churches of Scientology around the world celebrate the original release of the religion’s first book this weekend. Published May 9, 1950, Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health became an overnight success and has been a continuing bestseller for 60 years. The work is the anatomy and full description of a portion of the mind that is the source of nightmares, unreasonable fears, upsets and insecurities. More than 20 million copies have been sold.

Based on author L. Ron Hubbard’s researches into the mind and human behavior prior to 1950, its release brought on the spontaneous formation of 750 Dianetics groups around the U.S. and establishment of the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Mr. Hubbard lectured, instructed and otherwise met a staggering demand, while continuing research into the fundamental nature of man culminating in the founding of the Scientology religion in 1952.

Today, Dianetics remains a key substudy of the greater body of Scientology Scripture, its perennial popularity sustained by its workability. Before Dianetics, prevailing scientific thought held that Man’s mind was his brain, nothing more than a collection of cells and neurons, and IQ and personality were considered fixed and unchanging. With Dianetics, IQ and personality improved, its effectiveness documented in a multitude of case histories over more than half a century of application.
